The strongest animals in the world that you need to know

Would you like to know which are the strongest animals that still exist in the world today? You will already know some of them, for sure. But others will surprise you because, despite their small size, they have the ability to lift an enormous amount of weight.

If you love nature and animal curiosities, do not miss our review on the strongest animals  on planet Earth.

Let’s discover together the strongest animals in the world

They can move very heavy objects from one place to another, or travel very long distances carrying prey that far exceed their own body weight. We do not want to make you wait any longer: curiosity quivers! Here then are the strongest animals in the world:

Gliding flight of the golden eagle

1. Anaconda

It is not only on the list of the largest animals on the planet, but also at the top of the most powerful ones. This famous snake can weigh up to 250 kg and measure 10 meters.

Since it feeds on birds, deer, rodents, wild pigs, turtles, and even jaguars, it has the ability to kill prey by choking it with the strength of its grip.

Each time the animal exhales oxygen, the anaconda tightens more. And that’s not all: it has a stomach capable of digesting a whole prey in a few days. Once the meal is complete, it can fast for months.

2. Eagle

Number two on the list of the strongest animals goes to what is arguably the most beautiful bird in the world. With its lethal beak and powerful claws, its wingspan can reach 230 cm.

It takes advantage of the curvature of its beak to be able to tear the flesh of the prey along with its claws, which can kill a deer or even a monkey. The eagle has very precise vision, which allows it to locate its next victim 3km away. Once the prey is killed, it carries the carcass to the nest, resisting up to a maximum of 6 kg in full flight.

3. Ox

It is a very strong animal, which is why for centuries it has functioned as a driving force for agriculture and industry. It can plow fields, drag cars or wagons, trample grain, etc. Furthermore, the ox is long-lived and resistant: it can spend whole days working non-stop.

His is not a quick force, it is powerful. A single adult can pull a heavy load (up to twice its weight) stably.

4. Grizzly Bear

It is native to North America and belongs to the brown bear family. Standing, it can measure more than 2 meters and weigh more than 350 kg. Its claws can easily tear the skin of its prey: moose, deer, sheep, fish, birds and even black bears, which are smaller in size.

The strength of the Grizzly bear is known when it has to face another animal to get the meat of a prey or for territorial reasons. He fights with great aggression to the death. It is responsible for the greatest number of attacks on humans.

5. Gorilla

It is the largest of the primates and, moreover, one of the strongest animals in the world. After chimpanzees and bonobos, they are third-degree relatives of humans.

In nature they weigh up to 800 kg and measure almost 2 meters. Gorillas are 6 times stronger than people and have powerful arms – they can lift just under a thousand kilograms.

6. Rhinoceros beetle

Thinking of a strong animal does not mean that it must always have the physical size of a gorilla or a bear. There are also other living beings who, despite their size, lift considerable weights.

One of them is the Rhinoceros or Hercules beetle  , which can carry up to 850 times its weight. It would be like a person carrying about 9 elephants on their shoulders. Males have a curved horn, they do not pinch or bite and, to protect themselves, they disguise themselves in the environment.

7. Leaf cutter ants ( Atta )

Another example that we can certainly count among the so-called “little giants”. This subspecies of ant  Myrmicinae lives mostly in America, and its burrow can be up to 30 meters deep, shared with millions of individuals.

It is an extremely strong animal, having three pairs of spinal columns and can lift and carry objects up to 50 times its weight.

8. Rhinoceros

Currently there are five species (they live in Asia and Africa) and their name derives from the Greek “ rhino ” (nose) and “ Kera ” (horn). It is a powerful, totally herbivorous animal with a hard, thick skin and a small brain.

His eyesight is very poor, but he has excellent sense of smell and hearing. The rhinoceros is a solitary living being and directly faces any other specimen that has entered, recklessly, its territory.

When they fight, these animals approach and use their horns like swordsmen in a duel. If they charged at full speed, there would be no escape for anyone, since that force would be enough to crush the skull and break the neck bone.

These are the 8 strongest animals in the world. So what is your favorite ?
