Abandoned dog was about to be put down; now help the sick

Some of us are said to be born under a lucky star. Unfortunately, many animals don’t. What we are about to tell you, however, is the moving story of a lucky dog. Unfortunately not all dogs in the same situation find the same fate; but, for the moment, enjoy the story of Lady, a Husky cross that lived in Romania. She was about to be put down, but her life changed and she became an example for us all.

For this little dog the lucky star shone brightly at the most opportune moment, just before being euthanized. And not only that, her life took an unexpected turn. Here is his story, don’t miss it!

Lady, an abandoned dog destined to be put down

Lady, a cute little dog born of a cross with a Husky, had been abandoned. A Romanian kennel took care of welcoming her, waiting for someone to adopt her. But after some time, no one had come forward and the tragic moment of suppression was approaching. The decision, made to make room for other dogs, was sad but inevitable.

In general, people do not like to adopt an adult dog and this means that in Romania kennels have to kill hundreds of dogs every year. However, someone intervened to help the dog: the Laika foundation.

The purpose of the Laika foundation is to rescue abandoned dogs closed in kennels in Romania, Kosovo, Belize and Thailand. It is mainly active on social networks, through which it comes into contact with those who can or want to adopt an abandoned dog. Fortunately, the Internet exists.

The announcement

The appeals of the Laika foundation were read by a woman with a heart of gold who decided to make her small contribution.

The woman, who lives in Wales, already had other dogs and cats, but she felt the need to do something for these unfortunate animals, even if they lived in Romania.

After several messages between the woman and the volunteers of the foundation, Lady was hosted for two weeks in a shelter house, before being sent to her new home. And it happened that …

Lady, her new home and her new job

The new mistress wished for a happy life for Lady, in which she could also be of help to others. He soon discovered that the animal had the potential to become a perfect therapy dog.

Now, Lady is taken to a mental therapy center once a week to help the sick get better. Like many other dog therapists, Lady has perhaps found that doing something for others is a wonderful gesture.

Lady, the abandoned dog, has not only been lucky enough to survive, but to start a second life, surrounded by people who love her. What more can you ask for?

There are many dogs that are trained as therapy or assistance animals. Others are employed in the police or help with research into diseases such as cancer.

Dogs have been shown to be able to coexist in harmony with humans; why, then, do we continue to mistreat them? It would be nice to have a different world, where everyone follows the example of this woman, willing to put aside her interests to help an animal have a better life.

If you don’t have a pet yet and you want one, why not go to a kennel or shelter, without looking at the beauty or age of the dog? You will earn a faithful friend for the rest of his life, or at least for the rest of his life.
